Currently there are companies providing Internet access both "wired" & "wireles" services throughout Malaysia, but they are mainly concentrating on urban areas; which leaves part of the rural areas without basic Internet access or even fixed line telephones in some cases. Vision Team is the principal manager for Winet Broadband.
With Winet Broadband in place, even rural users will have access to Internet broadband and also other facilities such as IP Phone, Web TV using Digital Internet Broadcasting (DIB).
We provide mobility access — you can access to Internet once you spotted Winet Broadband / Winet WiFi regardless of your registered location. Thus, a true mobility with Winet!
We provide ready access to Internet broadband through the use of radio communications transmitters which will act as Winet Station. All registered Winet members can access to Internet through their desktop, PDA, mobile phone or notebook computers. As the community grows, we will be bringing additional services online such as IP Phone, DIB (IPTV) and other online multimedia content.
The role of the Winet community is to bring people together from all walks of life, and allow them to experience all that the Internet has to offer. Feedback to us from our members will decide the direction of our R & D and help us to improve the overall quality of our services (QOS).

While The Winet Community is primarily for individuals; business and organizations may join if they can bring something to the community which will benefit All of it´s members. Standard individual wireless membership package (standard membership) include free access to Internet access via Winet Broadband and a virtual loyalty membership (coming soon) for members to purchase computers and accessories at selected participating outlets soon.

Vision Team Technology Sdn Bhd was founded by Lee Wai Tuck, Co-Founder & Group Chief Executive Officer / Executive Director and Alan Lim, Co-Founder & Group Chief Technology Officer / Executive Director. Our company vision is to become the preferred communications and multimedia services group in Malaysia. Our Group Chief Technology Officer, Alan Lim is instrumental in developing Winet™ Technology. Winet Technology (Winet Broadband) are owned by Wi-Net Technology Sdn Bhd (646300-A); Licence No.: NFP/I/2000/66 and NSP/I/2000/72.
Also, we have enlisted our mission to provide an efficient and effective communications and multimedia products and services to our members; to bring Malaysia closer to realization of a fully integrated "K" economy, and to play a positive developmental role in implementation of "One Home, One Internet Access" campaign under MyICMS886 Implementation Plan.
We have spent the last 5 years in conducting R&D on Winet Technology in Kulim, Kedah. During this R&D period, we have improvised our technology and we are now expanding our technology to provide mobility access. Members can access to our services via Winet Broadband / Winet WiFi while using mobile devices such as notebook, PDA or mobile phone.
Currently we have more than 50 staff managing the company and we plan to create more than 1,000 job opportunities inclusive of sales teams in the next few years. Both our hardware and software engineers are local graduates and we provide intensive training for them as well. We plan to spend about RM200.0 million in the next five (5) years to provide enhanced communications and multimedia services to our members. We aim to be in the forefront in ICT knowledge through our Design & Development Centre (D&D).
